Sydney CBD & Norwest — Women's Health Exercise Physiology
Feel strong in your body again with exercise built for women's health
Specialised, evidence-based programs for menopause, pelvic floor, postpartum recovery, PCOS and more — delivered by Accredited Exercise Physiologists in a private, women-only space.
It's the first time I've trained somewhere that actually understands what my body needs. I finally feel like myself again.
After years of generic advice I wasn't getting anywhere. The program here was completely different — specific, progressive and it actually worked.
I was nervous to start but the environment is so welcoming and private. No intimidation, just real expertise and genuine care.
Why 4D Health
A different kind of women's health program
01
Private, women-only classes
Train in our boutique CBD and Norwest clinics that are fully equipped and completely private. No public gym floors, no gym culture, no distractions. Just a space designed to make you feel comfortable and focused.
02
Led by women's health Exercise Physiologists
Every program is designed and delivered by Accredited Exercise Physiologists with specialist training in women's health. This isn't a general fitness class adapted for women, but it's clinical exercise science built from the ground up for the female body.
03
Small groups, genuinely personal
We keep our groups intentionally small so your practitioner knows your name, your history, and your goals. You'll never be just a number in a class. Every session is informed by where you're at, physically and personally.
Perimenopause & Menopause
Moving through menopause with strength
The hormonal changes of perimenopause and menopause affect everything from bone density and muscle mass to mood, sleep, and cardiovascular health. Exercise is one of the most powerful tools available — but it needs to be the right kind, at the right intensity, for where your body is right now.
Our Exercise Physiologists design programs specifically for women in this stage of life, helping you build and maintain strength, protect your bones, manage symptoms, and feel like yourself again.
What exercise does for you
- Counteracts muscle loss and supports long-term strength
- Protects bone density and reduces osteoporosis risk
- Improves mood, sleep quality and energy levels
- Reduces cardiovascular disease risk
- Manages weight changes associated with hormonal shifts
- Supports pelvic floor health and reduces incontinence
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Exercise as medicine for PCOS
PCOS is one of the most common hormonal conditions affecting women of reproductive age, impacting insulin sensitivity, weight regulation, energy, mood, and fertility. Evidence consistently shows that the right exercise program can significantly improve PCOS symptoms — often as effectively as medication.
We build individualised programs that target the underlying drivers of your symptoms, not just the surface-level effects.
What exercise does for you
- Improves insulin sensitivity and blood glucose regulation
- Supports healthy weight management without extremes
- Reduces androgen levels and hormonal imbalance
- Improves mood, energy and mental wellbeing
- Supports menstrual cycle regularity
- Reduces long-term risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease
Pregnancy & Postpartum
Safe, supported movement through every trimester
Exercise during pregnancy and the postpartum period is safe, beneficial, and recommended — but it needs to be adapted to your stage, your body, and your specific circumstances. Our EPs are trained in prenatal and postnatal exercise prescription, including pelvic floor considerations, diastasis recti, and returning to exercise safely after birth.
What exercise does for you
- Reduces risk of gestational diabetes and hypertension
- Manages weight gain and supports recovery post-birth
- Strengthens pelvic floor and core throughout pregnancy
- Reduces back pain, pelvic girdle pain and discomfort
- Improves mood and reduces anxiety
- Supports faster, safer return to activity postpartum
Osteoporosis & Bone Health
Building the bones to carry you forward
Osteoporosis and osteopenia are significantly more prevalent in women, particularly post-menopause. The good news is that targeted resistance and weight-bearing exercise is one of the most effective interventions available — and it's never too late to start. Our programs are designed to build bone density, improve balance, and reduce fracture risk.
What exercise does for you
- Stimulates bone formation and slows bone density loss
- Improves balance and coordination to reduce fall risk
- Builds muscle strength to protect joints and skeleton
- Safe, evidence-based programming for all bone density levels
- Complements medication and dietary interventions
Pelvic Floor Health
More than just kegels
Pelvic floor dysfunction — leaking, urgency, prolapse, pelvic pain — is incredibly common but vastly undertreated. Many women are told to simply do kegel exercises, but the reality is far more nuanced. Our EPs take a whole-body approach to pelvic floor rehabilitation, understanding how your breathing, posture, load management and movement patterns all contribute.
What exercise does for you
- Addresses leaking, urgency and prolapse symptoms
- Rebuilds core and pelvic floor strength progressively
- Safe return to high-impact activity and exercise
- Whole-body approach — not just isolated kegel exercises
- Supports postpartum recovery and menopause-related changes
